Customer Background
Riyadh sits in the Haniyah Valley plain in central Saudi Arabia. Our customer is a local vegetable distributor who supplies fresh produce to major supermarkets across the city—they've built up stable channels and consistent demand over the years. Our partnership began in 2017, when we built a 7,000㎡ NFT greenhouse for them, designed specifically for leafy greens. The project exceeded expectations in both output and quality, and was even featured on local television as an outstanding agricultural case in the region. In 2020, they came back to us for a second project—a 1,296㎡ Venlo-style PC board greenhouse equipped with a full range of systems. This helped them diversify their vegetable offerings and expand their business.
After two successful collaborations, the customer chose us again for a third project: a customized film-connected greenhouse.

Project Requirements and Challenges
Thanks to the solid foundation built over the previous two projects, we quickly identified two main challenges—both closely tied to the local climate and crop needs.
1. Incompatibility between crops and local climate
The Riyadh region is dry throughout the year and suffers from water shortages. Riyadh has a tropical desert climate, with hot summers and cool winters, and the annual rainfall is only about 137 millimeters. The soil has poor water-holding and nutrient-retaining capabilities. The main crop we are promoting this time, spinach, is a cool-season leafy vegetable and is difficult to adapt to the extreme climate of the region. The customer was understandably concerned about yield stability.
2. The adaptation of the greenhouse framework to the climate
The previous two projects used PC board composite greenhouses. This time, the client wanted to try the traditional Film-Connected greenhouse. They requested that the greenhouse be equipped with multiple greenhouse systems to support spinach growth and stabilize yield. Meanwhile, occasional sandstorms in Riyadh meant the structure needed to be strong enough to withstand extreme weather.
Our solution
To address these needs, our company has specially developed an integrated solution consisting of "Film-Connected greenhouses, hot-dip galvanizing technology, and full-process accompanying services".This approach covered everything from design and planting layout to material selection, ensuring smooth execution and reliable results.
● Custom Greenhouse Design
Drawing on data from the previous two projects and five years of local weather records, we designed a film-connected greenhouse specifically suited for spinach cultivation:
▶ Fully covered with PEP film: Over 92% daylight transmittance, dust-resistant, UV-resistant, and chemically stable.
▶ Natural ventilation system: Quickly adjusts indoor temperature, can quickly regulate indoor temperature and humidity, matching the cool growth requirements of spinach;
▶ Internal shading system: Automatically adjusts to light intensity, adapting to different crop requirements
● Smart Planting Layout
We recommended a mobile sprinkler irrigation system—ideal for spinach. It's efficient, low-cost, easy to install, and reduces labor and time requirements. Our design team also provided layout suggestions for the interior planting area and reserved connections for future integration with fertigation systems, making daily management and future upgrades easier for the customer.
● Durable Frame Materials
Given the risk of sandstorms and extreme conditions, we selected high-quality materials for the greenhouse frame. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes were chosen for their high temperature resistance, wind resistance, and long service life. We also upgraded the steel specifications to increase structural rigidity, ensuring the greenhouse can handle local weather conditions.
Service Procedure
Throughout the entire project, in terms of communication, delivery and detailed handling, we have always adhered to the service philosophy of "timely, professional and throughout the process":
▶ Phase 1 – Demand Alignment & On-Site Survey
The sales team had in-depth discussions with the client regarding core details such as soil type, selection of greenhouse ground anchors, and insertion depth. Based on the basic data provided by the client, multiple video conferences were organized for repeated discussions to ensure the accuracy of the survey information.
▶ Phase 2 – Design Confirmation & Detailing
When the customer gave feedback on the initial design, our team responded quickly—optimizing the shading and irrigation system layouts. Once the design was finalized, we prepared detailed axonometric drawings, construction plans, and material lists to support a smooth build.
▶ Phase 3 – Production & Quality Control
Production started as soon as the order was placed. Our sales team set up a dedicated project communication group to keep the customer updated with production progress, photos, and videos. Every batch of frame materials went through strict quality checks, with a 100% pass rate before leaving the factory.
▶ Phase 4 – Installation & Technical Support
After the greenhouse materials were delivered to Riyadh, our company dispatched senior technical engineers to be on-site to provide guidance. They worked closely with the local construction team of the client to advance the project. From the foundation construction, the main structure installation to the equipment debugging, the entire process only took 45 days, and the on-site construction was completed efficiently.
▶ Phase 5 – Training & Handover
The project was successfully accepted, and the client highly praised the construction efficiency. On site, our engineers handed over detailed Chinese operation manuals and maintenance specifications, and carried out systematic and professional operational training for the client's staff and offered comprehensive technical support for the client's later greenhouse operation and equipment adjustment.
Customer Feedback
Two months after the project delivery, our sales team conducted a follow-up visit to the client. The client expressed great satisfaction with the project's results and the stability of vegetable yields, and gave a high evaluation: "The first cooperation with Sainpoly was a completely new attempt. At first, I had concerns about the project's results and vegetable supply capacity. But unexpectedly, the final outcome exceeded expectations. The project was also recognized as an outstanding agricultural case in the local area and was featured in a TV interview. This was a pleasant surprise. Therefore, for the second and third collaborations, I did not hesitate to choose Sainpoly again. From price, quality to service, Sainpoly always considers issues from the customer's perspective. This level of dedication is truly commendable. Going forward, if there are more agricultural projects in the pipeline, I'll be going with Sainpoly. Looking forward to more good work together."
